Please also note that this year’s host committee is planning to organise a beach brunch on Sunday afternoon the 1st of November. Whilst the brunch is not formally part of the conference programme, we encourage people to join the brunch to have a relax afternoon under the Greek sun. Busses to the airport depart from close to where the brunch will take place. You could consider taking a late afternoon / evening flight, or of course decide to spend a few extra days in the city of Athens (at your own expense).

This year, the local team of organisers consists of Olke in collaboration with SYD (Transgender Association of Greece), Rainbow Families, Colour Youth, Athens Pride, Thessaloniki Pride and Praksis.

On this event page we will be posting the most important practical details you need to follow as participants of the conference, as well as other content related information on the conference that might interest you. Feel free to comment, ask questions and interact.

Rugby, gays and the quest to belong; cue inspirational documentary
SCRUM!

Despite crash tackling the terrorists on United Flight 93, Mark
Bingham died on September 11, 2001. An international gay rugby
tournament was founded in his honour. SCRUM follows the lives of a
self-assured Canadian jock, an Irish backpacker and a stoic Japanese
outsider when they compete for a position on the world’s premier team
in the lead-up to the 2014 Bingham Cup - the Sydney Convicts.
Underlined by a pulsating soundtrack the film beautifully manages to
capture the physicality of the sport while also exploring the
emotional depth of the athletes it portrays.

on the obstacles LGBT sports players deal with throughout their
career. Former NBA star Jason Collins shines as a mentor for Terrence
